My mother has been a patient at HealthSouth on 2 occasions. The nursing staff was very pleasant. Her meals were quite good. Discharge planning was appropriate and helpful. The therapists were awesome. She recovered from her strokes more than we had expected. I highly recommend Gadsden HealthSouth.
Do not take anyone that you love here. Even if that someone I'd the family pet. The staff there is totally incompetent. I've seen television shows with better qualified medical staff.

My grandmother was admitted here barely mobile and in a lot of pain. In TWO WEEKS, she is now walking around, getting herself out of bed, and fully independent. Her motor skills have increased drastically and she says she enjoyed working out and loved the staff because they’re so kind and helpful. She feels no pain and is very proud of her improvement. I️ would recommend this place to anyone!
My mother fell out of bed and wheel chair in the 1st week, she came to the facility as a fall risk, they cut her fall risk braclet off from the hospital and claimed they didn't know that she was a risk. Her bed alarm was off several times and her nurse call button unplugged. She came to the facility not being able to walk as I would guess a good many come that way, so really?! There is so much discord amount the employees that the patients suffer for it. My mother was snapped at more than once and made to feel bad, she was unable to express herself correctly so shame on them. They have the potential to do so much better, but unhappy work environment. I want them to improve so these patients that need them can feel secure and not a burden. Not to forget there are always some wonderful people among the struggling to be happy and nice people. Speak up, happiness starts at the top and trickles!
