We ordered a pickup order on a VERY busy night and things werent great. That being said, one of the managers Joshua took care of us far beyond my expectations. I truly appreciate the hospitality and we will be back again. Always great food!
My chicken fried chicken was overly cooked and was hard and crunchy and the gravy was cold. My wife's grilled chicken was burnt/mostly black. Overall, we should have sent our food back but we were starving and were on a time schedule. The time it took to receive our check after eating was ridiculously long. Our time here was not a pleasant experience.
After thirty minutes of waiting in the gift shop, one member of the party was called to the front to be told we were waiting on a clean table. Fifteen more minutes go by and they are ready to seat us. When we make it to the dining area we notice over half the tables in the restaurant empty and clean. Waited forty more minutes on burnt food, and our drinks to be refilled after the first round. And pancakes were barely warm enough to melt butter. Also had to ask for silverware.
I was disappointed with the sandwich and the soup. They were both so salty that I couldn't eat them. The service was good, but when I mentioned how salty everything was, all they said was, "We'll tell the cook." I've never had a bad meal at a Cracker Barrel until that visit.
Not the best experience at a Cracker Barrel by far.
Good food at good prices. I travel alot and you just can't go wrong here. Sometimes you may have to wait to be seated, but for value, well worth the wait. Had the Holiday Sampler.
