Love the coleslaw and greens. Used to pig out on the cornbread too but can't eat gluten anymore. The cornbread is so yummy. I wish they'd make it gluten free. I usually get the grilled catfish and shrimp scampi, which is really good but would love some fried catfish. Need to work on a gluten free menu. Please.
A bit crowded at times but the management control the tables well. They have you in and out quick. The menu is good southern fare with fried catfish and many varieties of seafood. Even their steak are good. Be sure to get the sides for appetizer, especially the turnip greens and Cole slaw.
This is one of my all time favorite restaurants. The franchise has 4 locations in the area but this one is by far the best. All meals cone with some of the best cornbread and cole slaw you've ever tasted. Plenty of seating for a large group. Great view of the river.
Meh. Believe it or not, the best thing on their menu is the steak. Seafood used to be really fresh. The past 3 times I've been there it tastes like it came from a distributor, nothing special anymore. Living this close to the gulf you'd think they could get fresh shrimp & fish. I'm moving this place to "once every 6 months", then review again.
One of our favorites. Many visits for many years. Consistent quality and service. Good catfish and shrimp. Love the fried dill pickles and onion rings. Turnip greens are good too. If you love southern fried food this is your place.
